The Original Bumbu is based on the original recipe created by West Indies sailors in the 16th and 17th centuries, who mixed native Caribbean ingredients in rum and called it “Bumbu” – a truly artisanal and original spirit.
Using the same all-natural native spices and without artificial colors or flavors, Bumbu is an authentic revival of this piece of Caribbean history, distilled in small batches and mixed by hand. Amber in colour, with complex flavors of soft caramel, Madagascar vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, it features notes of cinnamon, toasted walnuts and allspice, a little sweet and a good finish.
