Philipponnat Blanc de Noirs Brut is a champagne resulting from an assemblage of the Pinot Noir variety from the great terroirs of Ay and Mareuil-sur-Ay, and is the result of a careful selection of the best wines of the year.
It has a bright, clear Gold color with fine, lively bubbles and a persistent, generous foam.
Open and fruity with notes of white currant, fresh quince and citrus.
Partial winemaking in wooden barrels (20% of the lot) brings aromas of honey and toast and a finish with touches of vanilla.
In the mouth it is fresh and fruity, with a fine mineral texture reminiscent of chalk, and where the finish is long and persistent, with subtle notes of pepper and spice.
